Not quite the Tour de France. Velib bikes in Paris.

Velib station near Georges Pompidou Centre, Paris

My little velib girl, Eiffel Tower, Paris

Want to take in the sights of Paris? Want to absorb the sounds, smells and sights on the streets? One of the best ways to do this is on the ever so easy Velib system in Paris. My family and I used this on our last trip to Paris. It cost about 10 Euros for the week. We used them all the time. You get a code and a pin and you use this at any station to get the bike. They are so easy to ride, with 3 gears, basket and a comfy seat. You can even lock them if you have to pop in for an emergency baguette or macaroon!
