Tapas or Pinchos or both? Tasty treats in Barcelona.

When you travel to Spain the thoughts of tapas and sangria cloud your mind. Its a cultural feast to be able to share tasty morsels of fish, crunchy prawns, spicy chorizo and my favourite, patatas bravas. Last year on a trip to Spain I discovered an equally amazing delicacy, that of Pinchos. Pinchos literally means ‘spike’ or thorn. The toothpick or skewer often on to a piece of bread. Pinchos are the chosen offering in the Basque country in northern Spain. I sampled both in the one bar in Barcelona. And as the photo shows, I did get service with a smile.
