Fancy some bog snorkelling in Wales?

A competitor prepares to snorkel during the World Bog Snorkelling Championships in Llanwrtyd Wells, Wales. The sport of bog snorkelling was created in 1976 with the first world championships taking place in 1985. Bog snorkelling competitors must complete two 55m lengths of the water-filled trench cut into a peat bog. In 2012, following the Olympic Games, Llanwrtyd Wells will host the inaugural World Alternative Games.
